Why is a Hearing Evaluation is Important
A hearing evaluations identifies hearing loss and gives your audiologist important information to help determine the best course of action for treatment. If it is determined that you could benefit from hearing aids, the hearing evaluation helps your audiologist know which hearing aids will be most appropriate for your needs and lifestyle.
What Can I Expect?
The evaluation will last about 90 minutes in length. This allows for time for discussion with the audiologist to review test results, and ask questions.
It is recommended that you bring a family member with you to the hearing exam. It helps to have a familiar voice for the verification testing. It is also nice to have another supportive person at the appointment to help you understand the information and recommendations.
