Swift Audiology’s Ongoing Support for Service Dogs for Veterans

WASHINGTON, PA – JULY 28, 2023 — Swift Audiology, Pittsburgh’s premier audiology and hearing care practice, continues its longstanding commitment toward the well-being of local veterans through their ongoing support of the Rescue 22 Foundation.  On behalf of Rescue 22 Foundation, Brandon Rumbaugh and his service dog Hatfield accepted a $5,000 donation that will go toward training of service dogs for veterans.

The Rescue 22 Foundation, co-founded by Angela Connor, has been making a profound impact on the lives of veterans in our community and throughout the country. The foundation’s mission revolves around providing highly trained service dogs to veterans suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and other related physical challenges, improving their quality of life, and offering them a renewed sense of hope and purpose.

“We are deeply grateful to Swift Audiology for their continued support in helping us fulfill our mission of providing service dogs to veterans in need,” said Angela Connor, the co-founder of Rescue 22 Foundation. “Their generosity and dedication have made a significant difference in the lives of our local heroes, allowing them to live fulfilling lives post-service. Together, we are transforming lives and making a lasting impact on our community.”

Brandon Rumbaugh, a motivational speaker, and his service dog Hatfield have been Champion Supporters of the Rescue 22 Foundation.  He has been instrumental in raising awareness about the organization’s cause. As a Marine Corp veteran, double amputee and Purple Heart recipient, Brandon understands the critical role that service dogs play in assisting fellow veterans in their journey towards healing and recovery. His dedication to the cause has inspired many, and his involvement has been invaluable in the foundation’s success.

For Deb Swift Founder of Swift Audiology, her love of animals and deep respect for our veterans made the choice to support Rescue 22 Foundation easy.  “Our veterans and their families have given so much, it’s time we give back,” states Swift.  Since 2021, Swift Audiology has donated a portion of each hearing aid sold to raise funds and awareness for the cause. With this recent $5,000 contribution, Swift Audiology’s total donations to the organization have surpassed $25,000 representing the yearly cost of training a service dog for a local veteran.

Deb further states, “Pittsburghers are known for rallying behind a great cause.  Let’s see what we can do to bring attention to Rescue 22 Foundation and the great things they’ve done for our veterans.  No matter the size of your business, by working together to support our veterans and Rescue 22 Foundation, we CAN make a difference in the lives of our veterans. You can donate directly to Rescue 22 Foundation by visiting www.rescue22foundation.org, or by calling our office at 724-222-9010 to learn more.”

The Rescue 22 Foundation and Swift Audiology invite the public and local businesses to join their noble cause by contributing to this life-changing initiative. With the ongoing support of compassionate individuals and organizations, the foundation can continue to make a meaningful difference in the lives of veterans, allowing them to thrive beyond their service to the nation.
